Convention Success and Thank You

Our 2010 Annual Convention in Seattle was a great success thanks to the many Young Democrats from all over the state that attended. The weekend was packed full of relevant training programs, networking, productive business and the election of our 2010-2011 officers.

We would like to also thank our special guests Mayor Mike Mcginn and Congressman Jay Inslee for your continued support of the Young Democrats. We look forward to 2010, getting Democrats elected, and working with some of the best progressive leaders anywhere.

Young Democrats of Washington

The Young Democrats of Washington is a political group with only two membership requirements — that you be under 36 years old and declare yourself to be a Democrat. The Young Democrats of Washington is focused on our objectives: training activists, campaign work, issue and policy work, community and public service, lobbying, and involvement in all levels of the Democratic party. We are committed to promoting Democratic values and ensuring young voters have a voice and access to the political process.

The mission of the Young Democrats of Washington is to stimulate in young people an active interest in governmental affairs and promote their involvement in the political process, to promote the acquisition of political power by young people, and to foster and perpetuate the ideals and principles of the highest degrees of justice and social welfare.

Whether you're already a member of YDWA, someone who is seeking to get involved in Democratic politics, or just someone who wants to learn more about the issues young voters in Washington State care about, you've come to the right place.
