BFYDs join in Mid-Columbia Pride!
The Benton-Franklin Young Democrats were excited to participate in Mid-Columbia Pride’s Pride Week. We started off by attending ACLU’s pride kick-off event “A Toast to Love” and followed it by taking part in Mid-Columbia Pride’s kick off brunch. The week culminated in “Love Wins,” this years Pride theme. We organized participation in the parade for all Democrats, including a float for Brad Taylor for Benton County Commissioner. Then we had our booth where we registered people to vote, supported 3 local races, collected signatures for the Tyler Clementi Higher Education Anti-Harassment Act, and got the word out about BFYD and YDWA. Mid-Columbia Pride has grown so much and we are excited to see the event continue to grow!
