We dressed up as 1950’s dads, a black widow, a referee, and many other different costumes to get into the festivities.  We made over 1,100 phone calls for Congressman Heck and he by to speak with us about how important the work we were doing was to his campaign. Representative Chris Reykdal even stopped by to show his support for Congressman Heck.

The YDWA team was now part of the Farm Scene Investigation and had to search through the corn maze to find which farm animal, where, and how they kidnapped Farmer Joe before it was too late! After hours of stomping through mud, riding tractors, and tracking down clues we discovered it was the goat that had kidnapped Farmer Joe using a stick by the pumpkin patch. It was overall a successful day of fun, democracy, and adventure.

We were able to make a difference in key races and volunteer for some of the best candidates. Now it’s important for us to help campaigns get out the vote and reminding everyone to vote by November 4th!
