This August 14 Young Democrats of Washington joined our national affiliate in Los Angeles for the biannual Young Democrats of America national convention. This is a lot like our own convention each year – with trainings from industry leaders, an opportunity to shape the platform and contribute to the charter and bylaws, and to meet and form relationships with Young Democrats from near and far. Here are a few of the highlights from our trip:
Congrats to Taehlor Crim for being elected the Vice Chair of Development for the College Caucus!
No state has more spirit than Washington – check out our flare as we celebrate the election of our very own Drew Pollom when he was elected to be YDA’s new Treasurer!
YDWA Past President Aaron Belenky was presented the James Earl Carter award for his work on voting rights.
It wouldn’t be YDWA without a convention selfie – here we are celebrating being awarded “Best ongoing event” for our Paint the Town Blue series.
It was an honor to have Washington’s own Rep. Brady Walkinshaw swear in the new board of the Young Democrats of America
Thanks for the memories, YDA, we’ll see you again next time!
