Open Position on YDWA board
The Young Democrats of Washington has a new position on our board open for applications. Applications close on August 25, at which point LaKecia, President, will share application information and her recommendation with the general board, subject to a vote of the body. Vice President of Government Affairs
This Vice President will lead the Government Affairs team. They direct legislative action and lobbying efforts on behalf of the organization throughout the year; liaise with official offices and advocacy groups to track legislation, and seek opportunities for YDWA to play a role in crafting legislation. They manage the Government Affairs Department, which consists of the Policy Director and Advocacy Director. The Policy Director organizes Lobby Day during the legislative session and the Advocacy Director coordinates the YDWA Caucuses. We desire someone who will dedicate their time to YDWA, as Vice-Presidents are subject to additional duties on the executive team.
