Empowering Washington's Next Generation of Progressive Leaders
The Young Democrats of Washington (YDWA)
is the official state chapter of Young Democrats of America. We're young progressives under 36 fighting for climate action, reproductive rights, affordable housing, racial justice, LGBTQ+ equality, and a fair economy — while electing Democrats up and down the ballot.
ABOUT YDWA
The Young Democrats of Washington (YDWA) is the voice of young progressives across the Evergreen State. As the official Washington chapter of the Young Democrats of America (YDA), we mobilize thousands of members under age 36 to elect bold Democratic leaders, advocate for progressive policies, and build a more equitable future.
From Seattle to Spokane, Bellingham to Vancouver,
we're training activists, supporting campaigns, lobbying for change, and recruit/support young progressives running for office. Whether you're a first-time voter, a seasoned organizer, or somewhere in between, YDWA is your home to get into the Democratic party and make a real impact.

OUR MISSION
Our mission: Organize young people to participate in the electoral process, influence the Democratic Party, champion progressive issues like environmental protection and workers' rights, and develop the next generation of leaders.
